Hello! My name is Daniel, I am Mexican and an expert in humanitarian pediatrics.
Most of my time I work in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Geneva Hospitals in Switzerland(Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève – HUG) as a Pediatrician. Over the past 17 years, I have worked in the following countries in humanitarian crises as a physician and pediatrician: Niger, Chad, Guinea, Colombia, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Slovakia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Mali, Mexico, Yemen, Palestine, Philippines, Iraq, Syria, Jordan and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).
I do research and scientific dissemination in the specific area of pediatrics and humanitarian nutrition (see:

I am a professor affiliated with the Center for Humanitarian Health at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health.
In 2016 I contributed to the foundation of EveryWhereSchools to help alleviate the deficit in education in emergencies that is observed in humanitarian contexts
